Today, Scotland joined England and wales in easing stay at home restrictions after three months of lockdown. However, people have been told to “stay local” and to remain within their local authority boundaries for the next three weeks. First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said the vaccination programme’s progress had been “better than we could have dared hope for back at the turn of the year”. Along with Boris Johnson and Mark Drakeford, She also warned that there were “no grounds for complacency”. “It is really important right now that while the vaccination programme continues to be rolled out, all of us remain hyper-vigilant in how we’re going about our daily lives.”
It is good to see the nations of the UK gradually easing lockdowns and restrictions on a similar timetable into the Spring and Summer. Time will tell if they converge completely by June 21st with all restrictions lifted and back to a new normal. I somehow doubt it. click full source.
